Frank Auerbach was a leading figure in Britiah art. He lived and worked in London and had the same studio since the 1950's. His main subjects were his north London surroundings and people, often personal friends. His wife Julia, professional model Juliet Yardley Mills and his close friend Estella West were used time and again.
