Eamon Colman - Irish (1957)

Eamon Colman was born in Dublin in 1957 and now lives and paints in Co. Kilkenny. Since 1982 Colman has had many solo exhibitions and has been included in numerous group shows throughout the world including Italy, London, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Brussels and Denmark. Since 1991 he has regularly exhibited in the R.H.A Annual Exhibition and has received many painting awards, residencies and commissions in Ireland.

Colman’s paintings are based on his walks through landscapes, along riverbanks and other journeys and uses colour and pattern to retell his story.

His work is represented in many collections including: The Arts Council, Ireland, AIB Bank, Office of Public Works, Bank of Ireland, Royal Victoria Hospital and numerous corporate and private collections. This year he was honoured by being elected to Aosdana.  A number of major international exhibitions are currently planned for Colman and he was recently included in a “Gallery Artists“ exhibition.
